Yoga & Surfing on Bali

From May until July, Kima is offering daily free yoga classes for our surf camp guests in Seminyak and Canggu. Our experienced Yoga teacher Katja will help you to improve your surf performance and skills with a special Surf Yoga.

Some notes about that from our Yogi Katja:

“The reasonable relation between surfing & Yoga is based on my own experience as surfer and Yogi. Especially specific stretching exercises are a benefit for the tired muscles. Yoga helps to strengthen your back muscles, your tendons and joints became more flexible, also you arm muscles get trained.

The perfect Yoga warm-up exercise is the sun- salutation (see PDF download).

Meditation helps you to be more concentrated in the water. Body and spirit will build a unit together with the element water. Yoga helps me to increase my inner satisfaction of surfing, I can be more myself.

Yoga taught me not to take everything that serious. It doesn’t matter for me if I surf good or bad, it’s just about to be in harmony with me, the waves and the nature.
