THE TRIP
Enjoy the boundless freedom and yet isolation of this boat trip and see your dreams come true. The boat takes you from Bali to the surf spots around Lembongan, Lombok und Sumbawa. Here are just a few of the most well-known breaks that can be surfed: Lembongan: Shipwrecks and Playgrounds Lombok: Desert Point, and Ekas Bay Sumbawa: Scar Reef and Supersucks
THE TEAM

Alan, an Australian, has been organising boat trips from Lembongan to Sumbawa since 1989. In the meantime there are lots of trips on offer but the fact that his customers always come back for more speaks for itself. This is not just any old boat trip.
The secret to his success has always been highest standard of service, friendly staff, good food and a perfect reef surf at reasonable prices.
His entire team will make sure your boat trip is an unforgettable experience.
THE BOAT

The design of the boat with its projecting upper deck, the comfortable lounge, the spacious bunks and cabins will make your stay on board extremely pleasant. Recently the side outriggers were replaced by stabilising fins which makes manoeuvring easier and faster. This is particularly important for safely negotiating the waters around the southern coast of Lombok.
There are 14 bunks in the communal cabin. Of course you can spend the night on deck. Killing time after surfing or between your sessions is absolutely no problem: simply relax with a good book on the spacious chill deck, or go for a snorkel now and again, or how about some fishing or harpooning? If you’ve had enough nature, you can watch a DVD, play darts or listen to music in the lounge.
As far as safety is concerned, the boat really is up to the state of the art with all necessary safety and navigation techniques, life jackets, dinghy, GPS, radio, compasses and charts etc.
Another good reason for this recommendation: this boat has a great reputation for its exceptionally good eats ‘n’ drinks!!!

THE ROUTE

The trip starts on Bali, where you’ll be picked up directly at the airport or from your accommodation and driven to the harbour, where the boat will be waiting, ready to set sail. Only a couple of hours and you’re already at your first destination: Lembongan Island. Then, depending on weather and wave conditions, it’s further on round the fairly empty southern coast of Lombok to West Sumbawa, or with the North Lombok route via the Gili Islands.
The following route plan is only a very general description of the spots and breaks you’ll be heading for and these can – and will – vary according to tide, swell and wind conditions. We will of course always try and find the best spots to suit your skills. Only the best-known spots are listed here, otherwise our secret spots wouldn’t be secret for very long!
LEMBONGAN ISLAND
Lacerations: World-class right-handers over coral reef, fast and hollow, only for advanced surfers
Playgrounds: Classic, long left and shorter right-handers over reef – suitable for intermediates

Mawi:
Classic reef break in one of Lombok’s loveliest bays, a hollow, fast left-hander, an open right-hander, more for advanced surfers, not too crowded

Tanjung AA:
A not so well-known spot by Kuta, hollow right-handers over the reef, more for advanced surfers
Grupuk:
5 different waves, classic reef breaks, one of them a strong, extremely long right-hander
Ekas: 2 different breaks over reef, long rides from 150m up to 300m, suitable for all levels
