THE TRIP
You and your mates want to do a boat trip that’s a bit different? Surfing, diving and trekking in one of the world’s most beautiful national parks? Then up and off to West Java! Our West-Java trip will take you to one of the last gardens of Eden on earth, the Ujon Kulon National Park and Panaitan Island. Between the world-class surf and diving sessions you’ll have the opportunity to climb the active volcano Krakatoa, go scuba diving in its shadow, or do a jungle tour face-to-face with leopards, crocodiles or one of the last 70 Javanese rhinoceroses. This trip is something special, geared towards surfers and divers that not only want to get off the “beaten track” but also want to experience culture and nature.
THE TEAM
The Dutch couple Marnix and Corinne came to Asia in 2002 to fulfil their dream –a boat of their own.
As keen regatta sailors, they both had experience at sea and were able to turn their hobby into their profession.
The team on board also includes the Captain, Barkat, an experienced seafarer from Java. He’s notorious for putting his new guests to a ‘fire test’ with his extremely hot sambal.
He’s supported by Mong, the cook and dinghy pilot and Dedi, the mechanic. Reza, our licensed scuba diver will show you the best surf and diving spots and make sure you’re safe in, on and under the water.
THE BOAT
The boat is designed as a classical modern sailing yacht.
She has 4 air-conditioned cabins with 10 berths.
A large salon with TV/DVD is the dining and lounge area, and on deck there’s also enough room to chill out or even sleep outdoors.
As far as safety is concerned, the boat really is up to the state of the art with all necessary safety and navigation techniques, life jackets, dinghy, radar, GPS, radio, compasses and charts etc.

THE ROUTE
What’s great about this trip: YOU decide on the exact route, the duration of the trip, the day’s routine, when and how long you sail or lie at anchor.
Whatever you want: scuba diving, surfing, snorkelling or simply sailing – it’s up to you. After your arrival at Jakarta Airport you’ll be driven to the West of Java. There the boat will be waiting for you in Anyer harbour, in West-Java, and will sail with you through the fantastic Ujong Kulon national park, to the neighbouring island Panaitan, the famous volcanic island Krakatoa and all the little islands and bays on the way.
The best surf spots are around Panaitan Island and the National Park and are guaranteed absolutely non-crowded. Scuba diving’s possible more or less everywhere and the fertile volcanic rock means that these waters have an amazing biodiversity. BOARD
The menu – which changes every day – is mostly European, but of course there are also local culinary delights.
Breakfast for instance is toast with various spreads, pancakes, omelettes, bacon and egg with coffee or tea.
The main meals have something for everyone: steak and mash, spaghetti bolognese or surf and turf BBQ.
Throughout the day various snacks and fresh fruit are served. Coffee, tea and all soft drinks are included; beer, wines and spirits can be had on board at reasonable prices.
