On Saturday Seminyak guests had the opportunity to join one of our cultural trips and visit Lake Bratan, Bedugul and Munduk. After having a nice and complete breakfast the first stop was at Denpasar and then, the fruit market, in Bedugul. This market offers the possibility of buying several kinds of fruits and food really cheap. There, you can find fruits such as papaya, mango, dragon fruit, snake fruit or lychees (all of them delicious!). If you come to Bali you have to try all!

After eating and trying a huge variety of fruits the guests felt ready to arrive to Lake Bratan, in the central mountains of Bali. This lake is famous due to the temple Pura Ulun Danu. The temple is located on the western shore of the lake. It is dedicated to Dewi Danu, the Lake Goddess that provides the irrigation water for the rice fields. The temple is surrounded by a big garden with flowers and the sanctuaries seem to float in the water.

On the way to Munduk our guests made some new friends, there were very cute and friendly animals: a ’small’ iguana,

a snake with a very friendly face…,

and a quite bat (pretty small as well).

As everyday our guests felt the necessity of being wet so the next stop was a big waterfall located on Munduk.

Munduk is a cute little eco-friendly village high up in the mountains with gorgeous views, numerous waterfalls and is a great place for hiking through clove, cocoa, coffee plantations and rice fields. Looking at this gorgeous view on a rice fields valley the guests had delicious Indonesian food: nasi goreng, mie goreng and chicken satay. It was… a wonderful Saturday!

On Tuesday the guests of Seminyak Camp enjoyed a Balinese BBQ. The main dish consisted of tuna, vegetables, rice, corn and potatoes.

The cooks worked so hard. Congratulations! The food was delicious!

Great food and Bintang time! It was the last party in the actual Seminyak Camp!! Three weeks of renovation and the new Camp will be ready!

After dinner the party started. Surf guide Chris had the opportunity to learn how to ride a moped. You just have to look at the scared face of our guest Frank. Did they make it?

Guests Lina and Stephanie with surf guide Angga.

May be Angga spent so many hours with girls….but even so he has a nice style!
Angga knows the best life philosophy: good sense of humor and be always full of happiness and energy! Well done!

And that’s how the party ended, don’t ask me what they were trying to do…no idea!
