Hey folks,
recently we did a fun-surf-contest on a nice remote beach on the west cost. Contestants were all guest from our camp in Seminyak and Balangan from beginner to advanced surfers. We valued everything, from best wipe out to naked surf … no sorry, we don´t show you the pictures of the naked surf heats, but these ones here:
Surfguide Malte, main organizer of the contest, explaining the rules…

Preparing for the first heat

Green Flag means the heat time is running.

No question, the french girls ruled…

Here the watching crowd and the judge table in the back…

This guy just started surfing 5 days ago and almost got a barrel… a natural!…or was it the excellent work of our surf guides and the pressure of success?

Due to the quite nasty shore break as the tide came up, this guy got himself a bloody nose…but still he seems to be happy, right?

Red flag: the heat is over.

The next contest is already on schedule…so don´t wait too long, pass by and score your first barrel with us

Hey there,
as you already might know surfing is not the only (fun) sport you can do on Bali. Among other things there is a nice ropes course in the green hills near Lake Batur. We visited the climbing park the other day and we will not withold these pictures from you:

We rented a bus to get all the people and the drinks (check the left side of the picture) up the hills.

The 2 1/2 hrs drive was fun, partly due to some early bintangs for most of the people

First obstacle: how to get the heavy drink&food box to the climbing site?… no problem, a friendly local gave us cheap, cheap transport!

After an introduction in a safe height we headed to the serious part of the parcours.

Guide Gede mastered this part like a monkey

Balancing over ropes, climbing cargo nets or sliding with flying foxes…it was fun!

But exhausting too!… most of the people slept like babys during the drive back to the camp…

Except of our surf guides of course… there has to be more than some tree climbing action to get theses boys tired… some of the people couldn´t get as much sleep on the way back as they wanted
Cheers boys, you earned it!
