Baby Sanur is also a nice spot on the east coast of Bali. It is a quite sucky wave which breaks in a clean A-frame, could be shallow as well and sometimes the name of the spot is producing a wrong idea of what is awaiting you out there…see for yourself:

You have to stay close to the curl, otherwise ther is no shoulder anymore.

This wave can throw you far out….

or eat you alive…fun to be eaten though

Another day with decent swell at Serangan, called Turtle Island as well. There was a heavy off-shore breeze that required sometimes a “blind take-off”. But it was fun though…see some pictures:

Nice top turn of surf guide Conny:

The bigger sets got head-high at least…

Sunbath after surf… even if it rains in the morning, the sun´s always coming out again at noon!

Another nice surf spot at the east coast is Lembeng. This semi-reef-break needs a little bit more swell to work and offer an easy A-frame break and a more agressive left and right shore break. Watch some pictures of last week:
Prepare for surfing…

This is the left hand break of the A-frame.

And this is the shore-break…

…only suitable for advanced surfers:

While waiting for the next set you can enjoy the great panorama of Gunung Agung, the holy mountain.

Nnnnnice spray man!
