Checking out the shaping factory

Yesterday we stopped by at the shaping factory to check out how these guys actually make all our great boards.

This factory is doing ding repairs too. Unfortunately SHE isn’t doing them.

Most boards get pre shaped by a cnc shaping machine to receive 100% accurate rails, rocker and bottom hulls.

We entered the so called shaping bay and watched how a boards gets its final shape by the shapers hands.

Finally a fin system like FCS or Future Fins is built in and the board gets a finishing.

Every board at this place is custom made for surfer with different skills and all over the world.

Glassy mornings

Although the wind has already turned from east to weast we still can find some glassy conditions at the west coast at morning. Check out some pics here:

Arrival at Berawa…even the morning sun can be really light so better wear sun glasses :-)
